Did you know the friendly faces at Amsterdam Garden Centre also run seminars? Every weekend, a few workshops are held so you have the information to create your ideal yard space! Keep reading to find out what’s coming up at the Garden Centre.

Saturday April 20th 10-11am: Hydrangea Seminar

Hydrangeas are one of the most popular and beautiful shrubs! In this seminar, you will learn the uses in containers, the different flower types, and advice on how to best care for the plant! Any questions you have on how to maintain this eye pleasing plant will be answered! This class costs $5.25 to register.

Saturday, April 20th 2-3pm: Basket & Planter Workshop

Hanging baskets and planters are an excellent way to spruce up an outdoor space, and they can be tailored to your specific taste with any flowers and plants that please your eye! In this workshop, you will learn how to best assemble the baskets, while being able to use the latest plant varieties available! No two baskets will be the same! The cost of this course is $10.25.

Saturday April 27th 10-11am: Tomato Growing Tips Seminar

Tomatoes are the BEST summer fruit! A delicious addition to salads, sauces, appetizers, and more! In this Saturday morning seminar, you will gain knowledge of the best tips on how to grow the best tomatoes. There will be planting instructions, pointers on how to prevent disease, the many nutrients in tomatoes, and more! This workshop will cost $5.25 to register.

Saturday, April 27th 2-3pm: ‘Extraordinary Ornamental Edibles’ Seminar & Book Signing

In this awesome Saturday afternoon seminar, join Mike Lascelle as he discusses his latest book “Extraordinary Ornamental Edibles.” He will school participants on the varied array of edibles that can be grown in gardens, and on decks and patios. From strawberries, to sugar peas, to edible flowers, the possibilities are endless! This info session will cost $5.25 to register.
